ur Breeding Flock
It's an exciting time at Pondview Farm: sheep breeding has begun! We have some excellent matches this year and I am very excited about the potential of the spring lambs. The first lambs are due April 1st, 2009! We will post pictures as soon as possible. The waiting is the hardest part!
We are very fortunate to have our flock base come from top of the line breeders in the United States. We are proud of the pedigrees of all these sheep, and positive that with such a good start, and careful management, we can achieve our goals of strong health and parasite resistance, productivity, good conformation, and quality fleece.
All our sheep are certified OPP free and foot rot free. They are registered with CLRC (Canadian Livestock Records Corporation), and we are enrolled in the Voluntary Scrapie Flock Certification Program.
